Bookkeeping, catch-up cleanup and fractional CFO support for small businesses — in QuickBooks or Xero, at a flat monthly price, handled personally by one dedicated expert.
We studied what the top online firms do best — then put all of it in one small, personal practice.
Transactions categorized every week, so your numbers are current when you need to make a call — not six weeks later.
The person who does your books is the person you talk to. Every close passes a [#]-point review, so errors get caught here, not by your CPA.
Published service levels: replies within one business day and books closed by the [10th] of every month. Miss it, and that month is on us.
We work inside your own QuickBooks or Xero account — no proprietary software. If we ever part ways, everything stays with you.
Bookkeeping and CFO guidance under one roof, so your reports come with a plain-English read on what to do next.
Cash or accrual books, clean enough to hand a bank, a buyer or an investor without a scramble.
Your books kept current, reconciled and reviewed — so tax season is a non-event.
Months behind? Messy file from a past bookkeeper? We rebuild it right — no judgment, fixed price.
The financial partner a growing business needs — without a full-time executive salary.
No hourly meter running. Cleanup is a flat rate per month behind — you'll know the price before we touch a single transaction.
We learn your business and what's keeping you up at night.
Read-only access to your books, then a written fixed quote.
We catch you up and connect your banks, cards and apps.
Books stay current, reports land on time, and you get a monthly review.

We never offer tax prep. The relationship is protected.

No. I work inside your own QuickBooks Online or Xero account. You stay the owner, and I'm simply added as your accountant user. If you're on something else, like QuickBooks Desktop, Wave or spreadsheets, I'll move you to QuickBooks Online or Xero and bring your history with you. Your connected apps (Stripe, Shopify, Square, Gusto and others) are reconnected and tested so data flows in cleanly from day one.
That's exactly what cleanup is for, and it's more common than you'd think. I start with a free, read-only review of your file, then send a fixed quote based on how many months need work, from $950 per month behind. I reconcile every account, fix miscategorized and duplicate entries, correct opening balances and bring you fully current. Once you're caught up, you can move straight into monthly bookkeeping so you never fall behind again.
I do. The Agency CFO is a boutique practice: I'm Khushboo, the founder, and I personally handle every client's books, from weekly categorization to the final monthly review. There are no hand-offs and no rotating staff, so the person who knows your numbers is the same person who answers your emails. That's also why I keep my client roster small.
This is where my IT background shows. I never ask for your passwords: you invite me as a user in QuickBooks or Xero, and you can remove my access at any time. I use multi-factor authentication on every account, an encrypted password manager, and read-only bank access wherever possible. Documents are shared through secure, encrypted links, never as plain email attachments.
No, and that's intentional. I focus on keeping your books accurate and tax-ready all year, then work directly with your CPA at tax time. They receive reconciled books and a year-end package in the format they ask for, which usually means faster, smoother filing and fewer surprise questions. If you don't have a CPA, I can introduce you to a CPA partner.
No. Monthly plans are month-to-month and you can cancel with 30 days' notice. There's no onboarding fee, and your books stay in your own QuickBooks or Xero account the entire time, so if you ever leave, you keep everything. Cleanup projects are quoted separately, with a fixed price agreed before any work begins.
I plan my calendar around my clients' close dates and give advance notice of any time off, so nothing lands during your busy weeks. Because your books live in your own QuickBooks or Xero account, not in a system I control, you and your CPA always have full access to your data. [Add your backup plan here, e.g. a trusted bookkeeper who covers urgent needs.]
A bookkeeper tells you what happened; a CFO helps you decide what to do next. Common signs you're ready: sales are growing but cash still feels tight, you're planning a hire or a big purchase, a bank wants projections, or you're not sure which services or clients are actually profitable. The CFO Partner plan includes full bookkeeping plus a 13-week cash forecast, budget vs. actual reporting, a KPI dashboard and quarterly planning sessions.

Usually 10 to 15 minutes a week. Each week I send one short list of questions about transactions I can't identify, and you reply by email or right inside QuickBooks or Xero. Once a month, your reports arrive with a short plain-English note on what changed. No digging through receipts, no chasing statements.
Either. Cash basis records money when it moves in or out of your bank, which is simple and works for many small businesses. Accrual records income when it's earned and expenses when they're owed, which gives a truer picture of profit. If a lender, investor or your growth calls for accrual, I'll make the switch with you and coordinate it with your CPA.
Yes, and I make the handoff easy. I start by reviewing your current file to confirm reconciliations are complete and balances are right. If anything's off, you'll get a fixed cleanup quote before we begin. Then I take over from the next open month. Your previous bookkeeper simply removes their access, and your full history stays intact.

Most cleanups take [X–Y] weeks. Timing depends on how many months are behind, how many bank and card accounts you have, and how quickly statements come in. You'll get a target finish date with your fixed quote and a short progress update every week, so you always know where things stand.
Very common, and fixable. Most banks and card companies let you download several years of statements online, and I'll walk you through it step by step. For missing receipts, I rebuild transactions from bank and card records and flag only the items that truly need your input, so you're never asked to find every receipt.
No. The cleanup stands on its own, and you'll own clean, tax-ready books either way. Many clients do choose monthly bookkeeping afterward so they never fall behind again, and because I already know your file, the switch is seamless.

Yes. Forecasts and dashboards are only as good as the numbers underneath them. The CFO Partner plan includes full ongoing bookkeeping, so your data stays accurate every month. If your books are behind today, we start with a fixed-price cleanup and begin CFO work as soon as you're current.
Bookkeeping records what happened: every transaction categorized, reconciled and reported. CFO support uses those records to plan ahead: forecasting cash 13 weeks out, comparing results to budget, finding your most and least profitable services, and modeling decisions like a new hire or a loan before you commit.
Absolutely. Many clients start with monthly bookkeeping and move up once they have a few clean months of data. Upgrading is simple: we hold a goals session, build your forecast and dashboard, and your first quarterly planning session follows from there.

The Agency CFO is a boutique practice led by Khushboo Patel. No call centers, no rotating account managers — the person who does your books is the person you talk to.
I didn't come to bookkeeping from a finance office. I came from IT. For [X] years, my job was making systems work: finding where data breaks, fixing it, and building processes people could rely on without thinking twice. [Add one real moment: what first pulled you toward bookkeeping.]
When I looked closely at how small businesses handle their money, I recognized the same problems I'd spent my career solving: apps that don't talk to each other, numbers that don't match, and nobody sure which figure is right. Owners weren't short on effort. They were short on clarity — and their options were either do-it-yourself software or big firms where a different person answered every email.
So I built The Agency CFO around what IT taught me: clean systems, careful checks, and clear communication. I trained in QuickBooks Online and Xero, and [update: earned / am completing] the NACPB Certified Public Bookkeeper credential. I keep my client list small on purpose, so every business works with me directly — not a queue, not a rotating team.
Clean books. Plain English. From someone who knows your business by name.
